Imagine our first date. You might want to bring something special for me or something meaningful to you, or perhaps you have no idea what to choose. If you fall into the third category, let me share a few secrets that always bring me joy.

Let’s start with books, my favourite gift. I love when someone brings a book they personally enjoyed or that holds meaning for them. It lets me explore new worlds and learn more about you.

When it comes to food (yes, food and not sweets), I love anything local and high quality, whether it’s prosciutto from Italy or dates from the Middle East. I even have a soft spot for our questionable Hungarian delicacies (and we do have a few…).

If you can’t find something local, simply choose the best quality you can. Be brave and a little adventurous - you might be surprised by my reaction.
